Costa Rica Surf Report Costa Rica Surf Report

The Costa Rica Surf Break Database Costa Rica has so many surf breaks it's staggering; this web site is NOT intended to be a definitive listing or even a listing of the best breaks. The spots I decided to list are the most known. Over time more will be added. Some of the named breaks in this database are esentially one peak (ie Caldera Jetty); some are collections of peaks or even stretches of beach with different named sections (ie Playa Hermosa has popular peaks at Terraza, Backyard, Gullys, The Tree etc). We try to use the most general names and descriptions for each break but some are also known by other names. Our listing policy is not to list any break on this web site that hasn't already been publicized or breaks so rarely that you'd have to live there all year to catch it. The site is new and we appreciate any comments you have. Send us an Email.

The text listing of breaks that follows was added to make search engines like Google happy. Due to the dynamic design of this site the content you can view by clicking on the breaks above can not be indexed by search engines. The list below has very little detail.
